7 reasons why you should start running in Autumn.

September. No more terrible Kyiv summer heat, it’s warm outside and the sun warms pleasantly. Why not start running in such a favourable conditions?
Here are a few great reasons to start running in Autumn.
1. As mentioned above, the weather conditions are ideal for running. You do not have to get up at 4 a.m. or go for a run after 10 p.m., as many runners do in summer. You can go for a jog almost any time.
2. In the summer most of us get so many vitamins from the fresh fruits and berries so in autumn we’re almost at the peak of our form. There is a chance to hold it until next summer because discipline and attention to your body come in our life with the sport.
3. Running (like other exercises outdoors) improves your immune system,which will avoid the seasonal diseases. Enough of articles were written about it, if you don’t believe me – ask Google.
4. Aerobic exercise, including running, stimulate the secretion of endorphins and serotonin, which improve your mood. A consequence of this more globally is an effective confrontation to an autumn depression.
5. Because, since childhood, September means the beginning of the school most of us feel that the level of concentration and focus increases. It helps to get up earlier / or allocate time for training and to get used to the new routine very quickly.
6. Students have their own additional reason:
Running helps us to learn and absorb new information and increase the availability of remembering. Regular jogging improves the frontal parts of the brain that are responsible for decision-making and planning. It is believed that the runners solve strategic tasks, both on the domestic level and in business better.
There is a wealth of information hidden in our memory, but sometimes it is very difficult to find something useful in our “mega-archive”. Running helps to improve the processes that are related to the search and extraction of relevant information. The runners’ brain scanning reveals an increased activity in the caudate nucleus. This area is directly involved in the function of movement, but also supports programs and associative mental functions, providing access to billions of parts stored in our long-term memory.
Fuuuuh, hard, right? And the last:
7. Autumn is a season of starts for runners.The overall atmosphere is very motivating for training sessions. Almost anywhere you can come across some serious sportsman routine training to some of the autumn starts. Let me remind you, that the launch of our runday weekly races coincided with the beginning of the 3-month training plan for the Wizz Air Kyiv City marathon. That was exciting!
Also, you can take part in any race at the smallest distance. Almost every race has a 5km and some even 4, 3 or 2 km.There is information about almost all running events in Ukraine on the one of our partners’ site. And, of course, remember about our weekly races, which can be both joyful runs with friends or real fierce competition for you. This is an additional source of motivation and positive emotions.
